Reiki - Usui Method

Usui Reiki is a gentle, light-touch therapy that supports deep relaxation and nervous system regulation. From a physiological perspective, it helps shift the body out of a sympathetic (fight-or-flight) stress state and into a parasympathetic (rest-and-digest) state, where breathing slows, heart rate may decrease, muscles soften, and the body can move into repair and recovery mode.

During a session, you remain fully clothed while the practitioner places their hands lightly on or above areas of the body such as the head, chest, arms, hips, knees, and feet. These contact points provide steady sensory input that can help signal safety to the nervous system, encouraging the brain and body to down-regulate stress responses.

Many people use Reiki as a complementary support for stress, anxiety, low mood, burnout, attention difficulties (including ADHD-related symptoms), sleep issues, and emotional overwhelm. It is also commonly offered in integrative care settings to support relaxation and quality of life for individuals experiencing serious or chronic illness, including those undergoing cancer treatment or chemotherapy, living with conditions such as ALS, or recovering from trauma or abuse.

Clients often report feeling deeply relaxed, grounded, and emotionally settled after a session.

Usui Reiki is a safe, non-invasive complementary therapy that can be used alongside medical, psychological, and therapeutic care.
